Sailing waters are plenty in Sri Lanka, both lakes and offshore. One could get a glimpse of the views that enchanted great sailors such as Marco Polo, Ibn Bathootha and Robert Knox.  An expedition could be arranged on the eastern or southern coastlines which could be both inspirational and adventurous, but which will undoubtedly make the sailor fall in love with Sri Lanka.

Hot Air Ballooning

If you are in the lucky season for ballooning, hop in the basket with your family and enjoy the bird's eye view of the elephants roaming free in the abundant jungles and friendly villagers waving at you from their tiny cottages and marshy ocean like lakes and valleys of paddy fields beneath you. If you are in Sri Lanka during the period of November to April, Ballooning in Kandalama  is something not to be missed.
White Water Rafting

Inside the jungles of Kitulgala there are plenty of camping opportunities which can be coupled with White Water Rafting, Bird Watching, Jungle Walks, River bathing and many adventure activities.

Whale Watching

Whales are the largest living mammals on the face of earth and it is a blessing to see them in their natural habitat with naked eyes. It is confirmed by many experts that deep southern waters of sri lanka are the best place to see blue whales and sperm whales in the world Kalpitiya and Trincomee are two other famous points for whale & dolphin watching.

However, the whale watching season is limited from November to April every year.
